Gainesville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Gainesville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I am a tenant at University Club Apartments in Gainesville. My gym access/key does not work. I have reported it to the local manager, upper management, American Campus Communities, but nobody has fixed it or given me a definite repair date. Also there is no backup plan to allow me exercise at the gym during off school hours. They keep saying the vendor back order the parts and they don't know when the door can be fixed. Instead of providing a reasonable backup plan so people can use it during off school hours. Gym is very important for my daily life and I am so frustrated living in this property and the way they treat residents.

I am a current resident here at University Club Apartments and I got a flat tire 15 minutes away from Uclub and didn’t know who to call so I turned to Alex, the manager, and Jon, one of the maintenance workers. After explaining the situation to Alex, he just asked me if I was okay and that he would be there in 15 mins. Jon and Alex arrived at the scene and changed my tire for me. This is not at all in their job description but they went above and beyond for me simply because they care. I know they would do that for anyone at this property. The uclub staff is incredibly caring and helpful, and I’m so grateful I decided to make this community my home. If you’re looking for a community that will go the extra mile for you then this is the place to be.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years in my upstairs unit and I’ve had zero to complain about. The maintenance and front office staff are all extremely responsive, never any bug problems and the dryers actually dry your damn clothes instead of imploding if you put so much as a towel in them. Alex the office unc is the GOAT. One of the few that can achieve the oxymoron “prioritize everyone” he won’t let you down whatever the situation🔥

I would have given 5 stars, but recent changes under new management brought that down to a 4 for me. Great place to live as a student. Maintenance is consistently prompt, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Three bus routes pass through here, which means you rarely have to think about timing, there’s usually one every 10 minutes. The gym is on the smaller side, but has everything you need. I especially like how close the front door is to parking, like 10 feet away, making it super convenient. The updated pricing model feels unnecessarily complicated. Residents are charged $25/month for parking, despite the complex having far more parking spaces than residents. It doesn’t feel justified, especially when guest parking is limited to around 15 spots that are always full, leaving visitors to find alternatives like Wawa. Super frustrating. Also, the water bill is passed on to residents, and electricity allowance is about $30 per resident, which reduces the overall value compared to what it used to be. Still, if you’re a student looking for a convenient, well maintained apartment, this place is great. Just know that your friends will not want to deal with parking, and neither will

I lived here for 2 years (2021-2022) in a 4-4 apartment. The maintenance was extremely responsive - all my issues were solved within a few hours of the request. The front office guys were really friendly. However, the utility was always higher than the allowance because of the vaulted ceiling, which was costly, especially in summer when I was the only resident as the undergrads would leave. So, pairing grad students as roommates could be a better approach. Overall, I liked living there because of the convenient location and service.
